General
I use hypnotherapy underpinned by psychotherapeutic approaches. This is a talking based therapy, including a focus on the body’s somatic responses. The approach can be a helpful opportunity to explore how your body responds to your mind, and vice-versa. For example, are you are breathing easily or in a shallow way, and what might this bring our awareness to, in terms of how you are feeling?Hypnotherapy takes place seated in comfortable chairs. A session of hypnotherapy might involve using talk to explore how you experience the world and what might be helpful to move forward (or to feel secure in the moment), followed by the use of hypnosis to deepen the connection between your conscious mind and your unconscious where habits, beliefs and emotional patterns can be stored. A session is usually between 55 and 75 minutes, by agreement.
